Ghislaine Georges

Ghislaine is a native of Haiti. She immigrated to New York City as a teenager. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-med and Anthropology, a Master’s degree in Public Health from Hunter College, NY, NY, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Baruch College Zicklin School of Business, NY, NY. She joined The Haitian Voice’s staff writers in 2011. Ghislaine’s professional interests are deeply rooted in experiences she acquired in the fields of public health, business administration, and non-profit field. With over twenty years as a healthcare professional, she has crafted a career of substance through strong work ethic, a passion for her craft, and a proven track record of successful relationships building. Ghislaine has worked with a wide and varied group of prestigious institutions ranging from the New York City Department of Health to Maimonides Medical Center. Ghislaine has served as a consultant to companies in China, and she has conducted training for teachers across West Africa. Besides her professional life, Ghislaine has devoted her energies to building International Alliance for the Advancement of Children (IAAC). Established in 2003 in New York, IAAC is a non-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization that provides educational opportunities for orphans and other vulnerable children in Haiti. IAAC offers the only community library serving the community of Torbeck, in Haiti. Furthermore, Ghislaine serves on the Advisory Board of the UNESCO Center for Global Friendship, Inc.
